First Energy Generation Company, Seneca, Warren,Pa.
The Seneca Plant is located at the base of the Kinzua Dam, about seven miles east of Warren, PA. Some of the major components of the Seneca Plant are an Upper Reservoir that covers some 100 acres to a depth of 65 feet, and is located 800 feet above the plant, two reversible pump turbines and one non-reversible turbine electric generator, and a water intake structure located at the Kinzua Dam.

The Seneca Plant is currently rated at 443 MWH. This is enough to power the needs of about 580,000 homes.

The Seneca Plant employs 9 - IBEW Local 459 employees which consists of six operators, 1 mechanic, 1 RTE, and 1 electrician. Operators monitor and operate all of the equipment, instruments, and mechanisms from the Seneca Plant’s control room 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
